Trees make up a world of shapes, colors, textures. They are symbols of renewal, and growth, are life-giving, grounded, flexible, and a sanctuary for others.

Using imagery of different trees, looking at instructor supplied photos, and watching weekly instructor demos, we will learn to draw their unique shapes of trunk and branches, boughs and foliage. Using supplied watercolor kits, we will create paintings of trees against simple sky and background, focusing on techniques of color mixing, color change, learning to mix a variety of greens, layering, and brushwork.

Some painting experience is required. Open to Intermediate and Advanced students. Watercolor supplies and Handout photos will be mailed.
