Saying What Needs To Be Said: Embodied Mindfulness & Letter Writing
TEACHING ARTIST: Rachel MF
8 sessions >> Thursdays, 2/6-4/3 from 3:30–5pm (no class 3/6)
Online
In this class we will use embodied mindfulness and letter writing to explore, express, and embody our personal truths. While relationships and life stories can become very complex, it is possible to find a new sense of clarity and empowerment by exploring what needs to be said and expressing those things in a letter. A letter can be a way to say, "I love you," "I miss you," "You hurt me," "I'm sorry," "I forgive you," "This is what you mean to me," and many other things. The letters are for our own expression and empowerment, and do not necessarily need to be sent to the person we are writing to.
Note: This class is open to both Veterans and non-Veterans.
Participants can take workshops in addition to class(es).
You can take one Found Fashion workshop and one Ambassador-Led Workshop.

What dreams do you have? In what ways are you seeking to expand in life? How do you want to feel in life, what emotions do you want to experience more of in your lifetime? What do you want to create for yourself, your family or your community? Often in day to day life, we can ignore or not take a moment to name how we want to live or experience this beautiful gift we have, called life. In “Dream Space” - we will travel our inner worlds to cultivate our intentions for how we want to feel in life, what we'd like to experience, and what we want to create in life. We will use writing as a tool for self-expression for naming, describing, and calling in the beauty, abundance, and dreams we seek to come to life. In this interactive class, we will have time for writing, reading or listening (such as poetry, quotes or music), and sharing.
Participants are recommended to have a paper and pencil available for each class session, colored pencils/drawing materials are optional in case you feel compelled to incorporate visual art with your writing.
