Community Connections is a program that aims to bring Path with Art participants and the broader Seattle community together through special art events and activities. Its goal is to amplify the mission of Path with Art––to build empathy, connection, and community among groups that may not otherwise interact. The program has a wide reach and is public-facing. Please see details about our 2023 Community Connections project below, in addition to past projects.

FREE LITTLE ART GALLERIES

Last year, Path with Art coordinated art workshops with three of our Social Service Partners to create FLAGs (Free Little Art Galleries) into public spaces around Seattle. These public micro-galleries created low-barrier entry opportunities for art exploration in areas where there is less access to traditional museums and galleries.

Hear & Now

Artist Trimpin and Path with Art student artists created a kinetic sound sculpture. The sculpture includes original visual artwork, poetry, and musical compositions created by PwA artists who have lived experience of homelessness; in Trimpin’s words:

“it is a metaphor for being in constant transition.”

Pearl Jam Collaboration

The Path with Art and Pearl Jam collaboration began in 2018 when several of our Participant Artists designed a series of posters for the HomeShows, working in collaboration with Pearl Jam to help raise funds to end homelessness.
