In this class, we will create multiple kinds of artist books and explore gelli plate printmaking techniques. Each class will begin with a simple, relaxing Zentangle exercise that will provide participants with an accessible way to create stunning images by drawing structured patterns. We will then transfer these patterns to gelatin plates, experimenting with different textures as we print our patterns onto paper. Finally, we will learn several bookbinding techniques, fastening these decorative papers together to create beautiful artist books.
