URGENT: Classes cancelled for two weeks due to COVID-19

Dear Path with Art Community,

With the growing concern around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and safety of our students, artists, and staff is our top priority. The King County Health Department is recommending that people who can work from home, should AND to avoid groups of 10 or more people. Given this new information from KC, and our concern for those who might be at higher risk for COVID-19 complications, Path with Art is taking proactive steps to protect the health of our community by canceling classes for the next 2 weeks beginning today, Thursday March 5. Please continue to check your email for developments on programming. If this persists we may consider some distance learning options. Also, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we will do our best to answer them.

Like cold or flu, an ounce of prevention goes a long wayHere are some tips:

  • Stay at home and away from others when sick. If you feel sick, call your doctor.

  • Adults over 60 and people who are immunocompromised are the most at risk. Please be diligent, and act according to your personal needs and risk level.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (pro tip: sing "Happy Birthday" twice while you wash your hands).

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.

  • Avoid groups/gatherings  of 10 or more people

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces, especially “high-touch” ones like doorknobs, counters, light switches, cell phones, or remotes.

  • Cover mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
