Summer at SAM presents activities and experiences that combine visual art, music, and community, featuring one art partner each Thursday evening event. Path with Art was invited to present a free art-making workshop on Thursday, August 8 from 6–8pm—we hope you will join us!
SUNPRINTING WORKSHOP:
Join Path with Art for a family-friendly art workshop. Using nature as our inspiration, we will make sunprints on fabric. Sunprinting is an easy and fun process that results in a rich and beautiful deep indigo color highlighted with bright white. First, you will choose from a variety of materials to make your print, such as; flowers, leaves, ferns, string, feathers, or other small objects that you arrange in a design on top of special fabric. We will then expose your piece in direct sunlight and rinse in water to reveal your unique design. Your resulting sunprint could be used as a napkin, handkerchief, ponytail bow, or more. We can't wait to see what you make!

Sonic Guild Concerts
Blending synth-pop with rock and soul, RUB's music is a veritable feast for the ears, complete with heavy vocal harmonies and infectious beats that will get you up and dancing in no time.
LivT is from the Pacific Northwest with a knack for word play. Mimicking the northwest weather, she describes her music as laid back, sometimes dark, but always soulful.
Dinner & Drinks
Grab a bite during the concert from local food trucks Seoul Bowl and El Cabrito. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Shooby Doo Catering in the PACCAR Pavilion.
WHAT TO KNOW:
All Summer at SAM programs are free, public, and suitable for all ages.
Events take place on Thursday evenings and daytime Sundays.
Thursdays feature live music, food trucks, and art making.
Furry friends welcome! All pets must stay on a leash and owners must clean up after them. In the amphitheater, pets are not allowed on the grass and must stay on the concrete paths.
There is no outside alcohol permitted in the Olympic Sculpture Park.
