Peer Leadership Program
The Peer Leadership Program was developed in direct response to participant feedback, creating a diverse spectrum of engagement that honors every artist’s unique journey. Whether you are participating in a low-barrier Access Art workshop or stepping into higher-involvement roles like the Ambassador Program, this initiative emphasizes meeting every community member exactly where they are. By focusing on agency and self-determination, we provide a structured pathway to celebrate your growth and success. No matter where you are on your path, we are here to support your creative evolution and recognize the vital role you play in the Path with Art community.
Certificate Program
Launched in 2018, the Certificate Program honors the commitment and persistence of artists who dedicate themselves to their creative practice. We celebrate growth through two meaningful milestones:
-
Certificate of Completion: Awarded to students who successfully complete a course by attending at least 6 out of 8 sessions. This certificate recognizes the discipline and focus required to engage deeply with a creative discipline. We are excited to print and mail, or give you, a Certificate of Completion upon request. Please email: program@pathwithart.org
-
Certificate of Achievement: When you earn four Certificates of Completion, you reach a milestone of achievement that opens doors to advanced leadership. This certificate qualifies artists for specialized opportunities, including Advanced Classes, Special Projects, and the Ambassador Program. We honor these accomplishments annually during our summer Certificate of Achievement celebration.
Speaker’s Bureau
The Speaker’s Bureau is an advanced workshop for Certificate of Achievement holders designed to amplify participant voices and strengthen public speaking skills. Rooted in the power of storytelling, this program empowers artists to become confident spokespeople who share how arts engagement and community connection have transformed their lives. By fostering advocacy and public presence, the Speaker’s Bureau allows participants to reclaim their narratives and inspire the general public at various community engagements.
Path With Art Ambassadors
The Ambassador Program offers a volunteer leadership pathway for Participant Artists who have earned a Certificate of Achievement and wish to serve as peer leaders. Rooted in a strengths-based and trauma-informed model, the program recognizes that long-term participants are the true experts of our community culture. By stepping into this role, Ambassadors exercise their agency to bridge the gap between the organization and the public, cultivating deeper community engagement while developing their own professional advocacy and leadership skills.
As peer mentors, Ambassadors assist Teaching Artists and Creative Mentors in maintaining a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where every artist feels safe to take creative risks. Unlike staff roles, this volunteer position leverages lived experience to support participant retention and foster a genuine sense of belonging. Whether they are welcoming a new student, offering peer support, or representing Path with Art in the community, Ambassadors model the transformative power of art as a remedy for connection and collective well-being.

Why did you decide to become a Path with Art Ambassador?
I chose to become a Path with Art Ambassador because I believe deeply in the power of art to transform lives. This is a special community that embraces people and encourages them to be driven by art; operating with abundance, hospitality, and unwavering compassion. Artistically anchored, artistically compelled, artistically committed!! Why wouldn’t anyone want to be part of that? My own life journey has taught me a profound version of humanity and helped me understand what truly matters. It has also taught me that art can heal. As an ambassador, I exist to lift, inspire, mentor, or simply be a soft place to fall. To give back to a community that reminds us all that creativity can be a pathway to connection, resilience, and hope.
