About

Learn how arts experiences can create better health through artREMEDY, brought to you in partnership with Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University.

Event Description

During this five-week course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of trauma-informed, strengths-based practices. You’ll weave sociological frameworks, psychology, neuroscience, and the arts into your own working understanding. Finally, you’ll apply what you’ve learned toward creating inclusive arts experiences in your own field of work or study.

If you are a:

  • Teaching artist, arts educator, or creative practitioner
  • Healthcare provider
  • A provider in mental and/or behavioral health spaces
  • A community builder working to connect and activate your community
  • A professional looking to continue your education and build skills that bridge sectors

… then this course is for you!
  • An artREMEDY participant sketches their notes during a training session.

“The level of participation that was fostered between the training facilitators and participants was great. It was so helpful to hear a variety of perspectives."

    — Youth Development Director (AANHPI communities), Department of Children, Youth & Families
