  • Details: This class will explore the techniques of working with acrylic paints as applied to the discipline of self-portraiture.  A brief survey of self-portraits in art history will provide familiarity with different approaches employed by artists to represent their own image.  Through drawing exercises we will learn the proportions of the face.  We’ll discuss how a self-portrait reflects one’s personal history.  Using the color wheel, we’ll learn how to mix flesh tones.  Open to all experience levels.
