Empowering Through the Creative Process

Path with Art classes are held in places where our students reside, where they are already receiving services or in community venues that are easily accessible. Led by professional teaching artists from the Northwest region, our process-focused classes are presented in a manner appropriate for any skill level. Classes encourage individual and group participation, creative risk-taking, reflection, respect and communication. Classes are offered in a variety of specialized experiences such as: theater arts, digital photography, painting and creative writing.

Current Path with Art class sites include: Recovery Café, Plymouth Housing Group, Frye Art Museum, Low Income Housing Institute, Fremont Abbey and Richard Hugo House. We are very fortunate to have access to these dignified facilities. Prospective students do not need to be a client, resident or member at one of these organizations in order to attend classes at these facilities.

I have been in Seattle since 1987. I am formerly homeless which is how I was introduced to Path with Art. I am grateful for the opportunities this organization has provided for me to get in touch with my creative side.
